When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. In order to raise children with a strong sense of ecological identity we must allow them every chance to play, learn, and discover in awe and wonder. Our Purpose: We believe children are future stewards of the Earth. Through cooperative play and creative activities, kids reach their social, emotional and physical milestones naturally and with ease. Our unique Family Child Care offers various activities that are specifically designed to encourage each child's growth. Our Mission: At Nature's Child Learning Center, our mission consists of providing a warm and nurturing environment where children feel safe. Our child led, home based curriculum provides a safe and stimulating environment to develop the whole child physically, emotionally, socially and academically. Nature's Child Learning Center is a hands-on preschool inspiring our next generation through exploration. Our setting and program are designed to allow each child the opportunity to grow and flourish in a home setting. With access to the local ravines and lakefront, our staff are eager to support the children in playing and engaging with nature in a sustainable and respectful manner. Wild Grace strives to develop ongoing community partnerships where the children in our program experience the joy of civic engagement and experiential learning. Here at Wild Grace we want to be a part of it all. The first three years of a child's life they experience major growth spurts, reach developmental milestones and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Wild Grace approaches childcare differently because we know it is much more than ensuring safety. We are focusing on the CDC developmental milestones and encouraging children in our care to reach these through experiential learning. We have taken various aspects of these strategies to develop a program that is completely unique. Taking all of these factors into consideration we have pulled from popular and less recognized development and child rearing approaches. The inspiration behind the philosophy of Wild Grace is the whole child, your child every bit of that tiny human: their brain development, physical development, social and emotional development, and their awareness of the world around them. Especially when considering neuro-divergent children and children with various development needs or trauma histories. Through the years they both recognize that there is no single approach that works for every child across the board. Wild Grace Nursery School was founded by two moms with extensive child care and child welfare experience. This is based on their development, social and emotional well being and any neuro-divergent needs. Our philosophy and curriculum are a combination of various child development approaches focused on the WHOLE child. The Wild Grace approach will meet children where they are. Wild Grace provides a boutique home-based childcare setting where every child is treated with respect, compassion, empathy, inclusiveness, and patience.
